Mosquito-proof your kids!

Tapos na ang tag-ulan diba? Eh bat ang dami pa rin lamok!

Since January, I've noticed an increase of mosquitoes in our home and it's not fun at all. Arya wakes up with a lot of mosquito bites and we're worried she might get Dengue.

BTW. We had a Dengue scare last week. We brought her to Children's Hospital in QC for a check-up. Fortunately, it was not Dengue but just a random airborne rash.

I decided it's really time to deal with these pesky mosquitoes once and for all! We went to SNR and I bought a big can of Baygon to begin with. I also grabbed some of my well-trusted anti-mosquito lotion brand and patches to protect Arya.

OFF Clean Feel Insect Repellent liquid lotion promises to repel Dengue & Zika mosquitoes for up to 4 hours. It is dermatologically tested and comes in a light formula that is free from substances that may skin reactions. It has no fragrances, no colorants, and no preservatives.

Compared to other OFF lotion variants, this one is the one I like the most. It's really light on the skin and it is quickly absorbed by the skin. It's not sticky at all. It has a gel type consistency so it is easy to spread on the skin.

Cycles Sensitive has always been my fave and go to insect repellent. It's paraben-free, fragrance-free, and hypoallergenic. This variant offers a 3 hour protection against mosquitoes and insect bites. It's a natural insect repellent perfect for babies and up.

What I probably don't like about this product is that it is very thick on the skin as you apply it. It's a bit difficult to spread it evenly on the skin because of the thick consistency so you have to repeatedly rub it on your baby's skin. Other than that, I love everything about this product. It has a active ingredients such as Citronella and Eucalyptus Oils and I definitely love the smell!

Now, I don't use these Cycles Sensitive patches always but it's something that I always make sure I bring whenever we go out. I usually would stick this on the back of her shirt or in her pants.

I always make sure to apply Arya her lotions after bathing in the morning and before sleeping at night. I really find these products to be effective so I highly recommend it to moms who are worried by the increase of mosquitoes lately. My mom also bought some Citronella candles and we use those when we go out in our terrace.
