Fight mosquitoes with Cycles Sensitive Natural Insect Repellent this rainy season

July 4, 2017

Hello, July!
Hello, Tag-ulan!
Hello, Lamok!

The first week of July has been very pesky for us so far. We are dealing with so much insect bites eve though we sleep with the AC on at night. Arya has a lot of red, inflamed, mosquito bites on her leg. Kahit naka pajama na siya eh may kagat pa rin ng lamok!

As of this writing, Arya has four mosquito bites on her legs. I am not a fan of putting insect repellents growing up because the smell are either too bad and too strong for my nose to handle, they are also sticky to the max! At least, that's what I remember from my generation. It felt like OFF Lotion was our only option back when I was in grade school.

Fortunately, today, moms do have a lot of options when it comes to buying the right insect repellent for their kids. The one we are trying right now is the Cycles Sensitive Natural Insect Repellent. I got this from a previous blogging event that I went to and never really tried or got curious up until now that we are dealing with mosquitoes ourselves.

Review:

Now, I'm not sure about this being fragrance-free as the label says but i does have a very strong Citronella smell. It has a very strong scent but not as much as it will hurt your nose or will make you sneeze.

What I love about this is that it is very light and non-greasy. As they promised. I put this on Arya's legs when she's asleep at night and I will generously put a lot of product and lather it gently on to her but the remaining product on my hands will dry up or get absorbed by my skin in less than a minute. Walang joke. Pasmado pa ang kamay at paa ko.

The only downside I can think of is that it only lasts for 3 hours so you have to re-apply frequently. I don't wake up in the middle of the night to re-apply btw. lol. But, as I said earlier, I do put a lot of the product on Arya's legs and make sure she's covered with her pajamas and blanket.

We've been using this for 4 days now and I've seen improvements. No more mosquitoes inside our room, the previous insect bites' redness were gone. I do have to say that Arya has 2 new mosquito bites she got from sleeping in the living room but they do look better now. Other than this product, I am also putting Katinko ointment on each bite to help with the redness, itchiness, and swelling.

So far, so good! Really loving this product. If you're someone looking for an insect repellent, better try this one too. I have honestly no clue as to how much this product is but feel free to check out their Instagram page so you can inquire. :)

Xoxo,
Rookie Mommy PH - go, kill that lamok!
